Just bought a certified used 2007 C6 with 13000 miles on it about 9 days ago, today i was driving around and stopped at bestbuy. when I came out and started up the car it sounded like it was going to lockup or just die on me, then it flashed and said reduced power. I shut her off and started her back up and it sounded even worse and even shook the car. I shut her down again and let the car sit for about 10min, it started up fine but the check engine light was on now. Drove home, let her sit for about an hour then started her back up and now the check engine light is gone.... ???? WTF??? the only thing I am worried about now is that I will take her to the dealer and they wont be able to tell me what happend because the check engine light is gone... what could it be? thanks for any help

If you know how to read the codes you can check it, it should have recorded a code and will report it with an H on it (which means it ha dthe problem but doesn't see it now). If convenient take it to a dealer or a shop that can read the code and tell you what if means. Everything you describe could be the result of any several problems, some minor, some major, my suspicions would fall on a loose lead to the elecronic throttle that had heated and was making poor contact after the car sat for a bit, but it could be something more serious which indicates future failure of a major sensor.

turned out to be a bad throttle body.... they replaced the tb because they said at times it was sticking closed. go figure
