Default Anyone else had this happen?

At the same time the battery was dieing, both door buttons no longer open the doors. The window drops, but the door doesn't open, so the window goes back up. Both doors, inside and out. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.

Not familiar with the C7 door lock mechanism but it seems like there would be some way spelled out in the owner's manual to open the door when the battery is dead.

When I bought mine yesterday, guy showed me a door latch in the trunk. I forgot to ask how you got the trunk open...

If the trunk does open, there's a manual release for the door on the left side though, I know that.

Default How to open rear glass when battery is dead...

Aerathi - Your key fob has a key within and use the key slot right of rubber button (rear of car) used to open rear glass/trunk. You'll need to nearly lay on the ground to see the key hole.

You have a key to open the rear hatch and then you can pull the handle in back to open the drivers door----then open the glove box and get the owners manual out and read it cover to cover---I'm not being sarcastic just that there is too much info to absorb at delivery so you must use this wonderful piece of technology.

My door latch mechanism on the driver's door went out last fall!
Started only working periodically and I would have to continually lock and unlock it to get it to fully engage, typically it wouldn't work on the outside after sitting a few days, window would open slightly and the door would open to the first release but not fully. Didn't seem to occur as often from the inside after driving it.

So, after a few weeks of putting up with it and not able to find any fixes (battery, fob, or otherwise), I even accessed the wired connection and cleaned but no help, ended up taking it to the dealership.
They concluded the latch was bad and replaced...$550 later!

Spyder#99: Welcome to the forum.
Thanks for the info. Sounds a little steep to me. You didn't say but I assume that fixed the problem.

Haven't had it reoccur since the dealership repair (looking at the receipt it was actually in July of last year).
I thought it was steep too, dealership charged $220 for the part (including freight) and $330 labor! With tax and shop misc. it was actually $600!!
