I absolutely love my C7 Corvette ZR1 but nothing is perfect so here are a few things I wish were different.

Cool way to cover up the "screen" button in a C7 Corvette while maintaining its functionality.

Wash your car without leaving water spots. Air dry to prevent scratches and save time.

Change your differential fluid in your C7 Corvette.

The dark, gooey graphite looking substance that you were wiping off of the drain and fill plugs was microscopic particles of steel. You will see this most commonly on magnetic drain plugs for engines but obviously can also occur in differentials. It's my opinion that this generally occurs on new engines, transmissions, and differentials as the metal parts wear in to each other.

Thank you. I wasn't sure exactly what it was, but I knew I didn't want it there!

Don't think it would hurt anything as long as the magnet was pulling out of the oil. What you drained out sort of looked like it might have had some water in but was watching on my phone so hard to tell.

Here's what I use to keep whatever fluid I'm draining off of everything. It's lead encapsulated in Buna-N rubber.
It's flexible and can be shaped however you want it.

I don't think the fluid was hurting anything necessarily, but it's cheap/easy insurance so I figured why not. That's quite an interesting gadget! Thanks for sharing.
