I test drove a 2016 Corvette Stingray a couple of weeks ago and noticed a very strong smell similiar to epoxy resin. I actually had a headache after the 5 minute test drive. As a comparison I sat in a 6 month old pre-owned C7 and still noticed the same smell although much less noticeable. I've owned 3 C4's and one C5 Corvettes and never noticed that smell before. Does anyone else find this smell or scent too strong or offensive? How long does this "New Car" Smell last?

 

I suspect what you were smelling was the outgassing of all interior materials which is what contributed to the "new car smell". Also will cause a film on the inside of the windshield. If the fiberglass was outgassing then it probably wasn't cured properly.
