I have a 1978 Corvette with an HEI ignition. I wanted to run a different carb. the one i had on there had an electric choke. well i didn't think anything of it well when i put the different carb on the vette it had a manual choke. so i just put the power wire off to the side. when i went to go test drive it the vette shut off and there was a buch of smoke from the wire to the HEI coil. i didn't get any spark but when i took different positive wire to the coil and if started right up. but the windows stop work i lights stop work. and i have been trying to trace this pink wire that originally went to the coil. does anybody what circuit i blew or something i can replace or hook me up with a wire diagram of wire the pink wire trails to before i start ripping the dash apart. help me please
