My 2008 C6 base transmission hesitates when I slow down making turns. The transmission goes into the right gear after it seems to slip or hesitate.
Any ideas on this before I take it in for service?

 

It is possible a service might fix that problem. Tell them what it's doing and have them drive it before and after service to see if there are any changes. Or recommendations, there have been a few service bulletins on that transmission
