I have a 2008 ZO6 owners manual says it takes 8 quarts up to 8.5 quarts of oil. This car takes 10 quarts of oil. I’ve had this car looked at by professionals and everything seems stock. And Vin numbers checked to made sure it’s the right dipstick nobody can give me the answer why this particular car has a 10 quart sump. They didn’t start using the 10 quart sump until 2009 if I’m correct? Engine is 427 in.³ it is a limited edition not sure if this has anything to do with it.
Would like to know the answer anybody out there know why?
