Default Average 14MPG?!?!?!? huh?

I was looking on the forums search to try and see how hard it would be to change my plugs and plug wires. The guy I bought the car from was so unrelyable about all the other things he said about the car. Why should this be any different? Anyway upon looking through the forums I keep noticing 24 to 26 mpg. I have an L98 1990. Should my MPG be that bad? I granny drive this baby... Any Help? Thanks- CLONE
P.S. Anybody know what this purplewire goes to? I found it Friday.

If ya push a little harder on that pedle on the right PG, I bet ya can get that down to around 8 or 9 mpg.

My '87 got low 20's combined/almost 29 highway. '94 has similar #'s.

Your front end and rear end and wheels is '91+, and that radiator reservoir is LT1, ain't it???

I agree with CWB, my wifes '87 got around 20-21 in town traffic, and around 26/27 out on the highway with a standard r/e ratio.....(don't know what it was). I have a 97 LT-1 in my streetrod, it has 3.73 gears in the rearend and it will get 20-21 on the highway.

You must not be able to keep your foot out of it, or have very deep r/e gearing and/or both apply!!!

When people talk about the gas milage of a sports car, I tellthem that I have a very fast an economy car. My 93 C4 averages 26 MPG in town and I hit 29.5 to 30 MPG on the hwy. Of course I have to keep my foot out of it (most of the time that is).

up my '87 get 25-26 intown and 32-34 highway at 75-78mph with the ac and cruise set. And that's in hilly areas. I wonder what it would get insome place like zFL. where it's flat.
