C4 oil leak at cat. Converter???

About 200 miles ago, I shut down my 1991 (42k miles) & smoke started to waft from under the hood at the driver side. It reeked of burning oil. That was the 1st time the car was out after an oil change. I went right to the shop ... It didn't smoke so bad when I shut it down there. They found the filter was tight & couldn't discover the source. We looked under the car, the oil was dripping from the fins in the Cat. Converter!! They cleaned it up, but the 6 times I've used it since, my garage stinks of oil when I shut it down. It's not smoking now & there is no oil on the floor (there never was), but something must be feeding the stink - if it was a sloppy oil change it should have all burned off by now. Anybody have any ideas?? What could leak & drip through the converter? Thanks.
