Default Crate motor question

I have a 2015 C7 Corvette that blew a piston. I was looking at a crate motor for it if I buy the exact crate motor that’s in the car. It will be $9000. It is a LT one 6.2 a friend of mine was telling me if I buy a brand new crate for a 22 to 24 Camaro 6.2 LT one that I can get it for about $5500 less, I’ll have to change the oil pan and the oil pan off my C7 on the new engine and I’ll have to switch the valley cover from C7 to the new engine. Is this true? can I do the swap will the oil pan from my 2015 LT one 6.2 go on a 2022 to 24 6.2 LT .

You should be able to swap with changing the oil pan if that's the case, valley cover replace if you are deleting the FM cylinder deactivation. What would make a good swap would be the new gm 6.2L coming out at this year that has the overhead camshafts. 600HP normally a sperated it also has cylinder delete system. There should be a 6.6L crate engine coming out soon for hot rodders, no cylinder delete, 540 HP
A 22 or 24 engine for $3500 I would make that fit. I haven't done swaps that new but it should work with a few part swaps. Let us know what you find out.
