new to post have eng problem

Default new to post have eng problem

Im working on a64 corvette I put a eddabrok carb and I cant get the idle down also I changed the plugs r45 to r45s plugs also changed the plug wires and cap and rotor now I have a diesleing problem any ideas on the carb and the diesling??

Welcome to CF!
The diesling is due to timing. Set the timing first, then the carb tuning will be easier. Won't idle down? Check that choke os fully open. You may be running too rich. Ease your jets down to closed, back off 1 full turn, start the car and go from there. Need more info, let us know!

Dieseling can be caused by the idle being too rich as well as being too high, as well as the timing being off. make sure all the unused vacuum ports are plugged, and that you don't have any other vacuum leaks.
