Speaking of mirrors
I need to gain access to the motor and gearing in one of the outside
mirrors on my '95.
Do I need to remove the mirror from the door first or is there some
way to access by moving the glass over to one side or ??

RE: Speaking of mirrors
As a followup about my power mirror problem (well, I should say it is now an EX problem), I was able to easily pop the glass off revealing the power unit. Figuring I had nothing to lose by opening the unit (pulling the door pretty much completely apart to reroute the wiring harness seemed like a decidedly unfun project), I found the problem.
A small motor drives a worm gear assembly that moves the mirror up and down and a 2nd motor drives a 2nd worm gear that moves the mirror right and left. In my case, the up/down worm gear was slipping on the motor shaft. So I thoroughly cleaned the motor's shaft and inside of the worm drive, roughened up the motor shaft with an emery cloth and epoxied the drive onto the shaft. I left the epoxy set up, reassembled the unit and remounted everything. The power mirror now works like a champ!
Thought this might be helpful to someone else facing the same problem!

RE: Speaking of mirrors
Well that and not having to pay $50 for a used, "non repairable" (as I was told by an "expert") assembly
Fixed the fuel sending unit too! Now to take care of the lousy AM radio reception, although I think I know the cause of that one!
