Hi my dream is to own a C6 Vette convertable....I am leaning towards a 6speed. I don't mind shifting....however is it smarter and better to go with paddle shift?Is that a better trans choice? Also, was the 05 a bad car?I know in 2008 they did alot of improvements as increased 430 HP and better interior etc....Is it smarter to go with the 08 model....is the 06 and 07 years good cars??I am not a rich person and would probably order one from the states slightly used like on ebay or perhaps from the classifieds here. I just want a really good reliable quality c6? Which should I buy???

 

I'd go with the 6-speed. It is much more fun, and the 'vette has so much torque you really don't need to shift much when you are in traffic. Not much to choose between 06-08. Newer always has a few more features, etc., but not enough if you are on a budget.
