Default corvette interiors

I've been a corvette enthusiast since I was in my 20's, I've had 7 Corvettes so far, I have a '68 roadster I've had 32 years and a 2009 roadster. I plan on purchasing a "mid engine" Corvette if and when the really come out with them. My question is GM has done a lot of talking about improving the interiors of the Corvette and in my opinion I just haven't seen it. Yes, they are nicer than years before but no offense to the 2014 & up Corvette owners but I just don't see the quality and design I'd expect from a this car. The carpeting they are using now reminds me of outdoor carpeting you'd have at you home, what happened to plush carpet for this gorgeous sports car? Possibly some touches of wood in the interior, not much just do it tastefully. I understand and see that these cars are starting to look more & more like a European sports car and I know that their interiors are not plush but why can't the Corvette be. I still don't like the look & feel of the leather they are using. My 2009's leather seats actually look and feel better to me than the new ones. Now I understand that I am complaining about the new Corvettes and have mentioned that I am going to purchase a mid engine, I just have my fingers crossed that with the price of this mid engine, which I imagine will be around $150,000 loaded, has a completely updated interior.

Thanks for hearing me out.
