I'm a total newbie to this forum, but not a Newbie to the forum format as I'm quite active in a forum or two in other areas of interest. I totally understand forum etiquette and don't want to ruffle any feathers.

I am new to Corvettes. I'm a mid 50s middle age outside sales guy that drives a Honda Pilot daily. It's a brilliant vehicle for what I do for a living and great for family stuff, but not really engaging as far as fun driving goes. I spend a lot of time in it. It's my mobile office. I'd like to have a Sunday car that's a little more fun.

I've had fast motorcycles, but don't own any now. I have never owned a sports car.

I would like to find a car that is fun to take my wife to brunch in Malibu on a Sunday morning. A C5 or C6 Corvette convertible seems to fit the bill better than anything else I can find at first glance.

I'm looking forward to joining the community and learning about Corvettes!

 

I love my 1994 C4. But, being female, I don't want a convertible because I have long hair and it messes it up. I vote Targa top for your wife's sake. I had two convertibles and never took the top down (or off) after the first few times. Too much trouble and I hated wearing hot scarves.
