FNG here
Dreams do come true! I just bought a 2002 Black on Black six speed coupe last Wednesday. I stumbled onto a great intrest rate with USAA and managed to talk to woman into not kicking me out if I bought it. Next thing I know I'm driving down the road in a car I didn't think I'd own for atleast another 5 years. Prior to this I had a 1993 Z28 Pace car that ran great until the bottom radiator hose fell off (my fault, forgot to put on the clamp ) and my already broken coolant gauge failed to warn me of the empending doom until it was already to late. Boo. I've been driving my p.o.s. 1995 Integra since that horrible day wondering when I'd get around to fixing it. Now that's not even a concern.
As I'm sure you all know from experiance, words can not describe how I feel. I'm gonna go stare out the window some more...
I've got a few pictures to post but for some reason it says, error saving file to disc. I'll try later.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new Vette. I also use USAA for all things money related, their customer service is second to none. Is the car stock or did it come with some goodies already done to it? Can't wait to see the photos when you figure out how to get them posted.

Congrats and welcome. Funny enough your story sounds oddly familiar. I too just bought a {triple} black 2007 Vette ( my 1st ) about 8 months ago. My dad andI "just went to look at it ",a test drive and some paperwork later I was driving home my dream car. Today wasofficially the first topless daythis year !You gotta love spring !

RE: FNG here
Apparently my picture problems were due to files being too large and the fact that I'm using an Apple G4 and I'm clueless on to get this damn thing to do what I want. Boo.
As for the car, it's stock as far as I can tell. I plan on putting an aftermarket intake of some sort on it soon but my final plan includes STS turbo's, winning the lottery and brainwashing the woman to convince her it's all worth it. So there is some work to be done. Right now I'm just enjoying the car in it's stock form. It's crazy fast, handles like a dream grown men stop breathing and try to touch it as I drive by. It's great.
I'd like to get a baseline dyno chart before I do anything. Then an intake with a smooth bellow, and while I'm still paying it off I may just stick with a full exhaust and maybe a cam and tuning.
Thanks for the welcome's. I look forward to spending much time here.
