Yeah i figuered i'd come over and see whats goin on over here. When i get a C5 i plan on it to be my daily driver are there any years that had more problems than others also are there any costly mainance options to stay away from. Such as the active suspension system. And has anyone heard of a carbon build up problem in the 2000 models my uncle has one and he has said it only happens on the 2000s can anyone confirm this or at least comment on a possible reason.

If you head over to the C5 section there are a few post about this very subject (which years are the best, etc...). Good luck with your purchase.

i have a 2000 that i love... BUT ill say go 01 and up... they just fixed alot of probs... i mean its always the later in a run you can go the better... although i know that 01 02 f bodies has issues with piston slap... i dont know if that was a vette issue also or not... im assuming it was since they are the same motor... but yeah just go read around youll get your answers and if not... ask...
