I bit the bullet!
Again, thanks to everyone who offered an opinion about the Vette I was looking to buy (the one I posted about that was smacked in the front end at one time and the owner was firm on the price?).
Well, good things come to those who wait. Here's what I ended up with:

2 years newer (1995), brand new Eagle GT's all around (they even still have the mold whiskers!), 50K miles, new weatherstripping, Glass Targa Top, Sony 10 CD player (I hate where its mounted and will look into doing it right!). It drives great!
$14K and it was mine.
