I have owned a few Vette's over the last 50 years and a founding member of Las Vegas Corvettes Assoc. I currently own a 93 40th anniversary Ruby Red convertible. I had problems with it shutting down
at any random time and may or may not restart. After several repair shops and high dollar invoices I ran into a fellow vetter with the same problem and he told me a speed shop in San Jose CA. found the solution,
and he told what the resolve is. On the passenger side of the engine front top area is a RELAY that feeds the voltage to the opti-spark and it acts like a thermal couple, when it overheats it will open and the voltage
won't flow to the OPTI-SPARK, hence shutting down the engine. ( @ a $20. part ) and I spent thousands I hope this will be helpful to all my fellow CORVETTERS. John Furney LVCA-7 Las Vegas NV.
