Default New C6 owner here.

Well, very soon owner. I ordered a 2007Le Mans blue C6 m6 with the dark grey wheelsyesterday after wanting a vette for so long. Its going to be torture waiting the 3-5 weeks for it to show up from the factory, but its snowing like a SOB out here and I wouldnt want to drive it anyway in this. I wanted to take the factory tour and pick it up myself, but I have a job and cant get the time off, so I will wait. I have a few questions about the C6, and its nanny torque managment thing but I willpost that in the C6 area. Nice forum here, man Im ready for this car.

Im trading in a 2004 cobra with 445rwhp and 460rwtq. Im a little worried about taking a step backward in power terms, but the terminator weighs 3800lbs and the C6 I think weighs 3100lbs. I hope I dont regret the move.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the move from the blue oval to the bowtie. Just remember your Cobra didn't come from the factory with that type of power so you can always add more to the Vette.

Your not taking a step back as much as you think. I bet a c6 like yours would give your cobra a run for its money. Throw some sort of f/i on it and you would smoke the cobra hands down not even close. I had an 02 v6 stang in high school and man they are heavy pigs.

If your worried about power of the C6, do what my original owner of my 94 did. Not wanting the stick of the zo6, but wanted the power, took his new c6 up to lingenfelter for a supercharger and exhaust. He know pushes 560hp. I had the pleasure of driving this beast last weekend and let me tell you there is nothing like the feeling of letting it go.(scared the crap out of my father in law!) I dont have that type of cash on hand(kids), but if you dosome upgrades will put some serious power under your hood. but for know injoy the new ride and welcome to the site!
