Default new to the forum 1969 stingray

Hi. Im new to the site but not that new to vettes. Im 20 years old I own a 69 stingray 350. This vette and othershas been in the family for a long time, eversince i can remember. It was my uncles then my grandpa bought it off of him and now i got it. Its all original and runs pretty well. but needs some tlc. So im planning on takinit downto the frame cleaning/ fixin anything that it needs, puttin it back into the shape that my gpa would have liked seenin it to be. Kind of a tribute to him.I have helped on a vette tare down befor, but i was alot younger and i was helpin my uncle with his 67 427. I know how to work on cars and have done some major work on other cars. I just hope im not gettin in over my head with this one. I know i will have help when i need it from my dad and my uncle, but i just really dont want to mess this up haha. My goal is to make it look like the day it rolled off the floor.

I will try and get some pics of it tomorrow.

Welcome to the forum. I sure wish I could have kept some of my cars to hand down. I always had to trade to get a new one. HB

Welcome to the boards young man. It makes me smile hearing of a young man such as yourself taking on a project of this nature, especiallyin honer of your Grandfather. You have respect and desire working in your favor and with that you will be able to do anything. Your Grandfather would/will be proud of you. You can pass it down to your children one day as it has been passed down to you. You have my respect. Keep this small part of your heritage alive, restore them don't crush them. Cheers to you and don't forget to wave.
