Thought I would say high. Just got back into Vettes, starting with a frame off on a 72.

Welcome from the lower 48. Sounds like you "HAVE A PLAN". Keep us informed as to how it's going.

Hey BB72,
I'm in the process of building a 400hp 454 to replace a 220hp 350.
Had a 454 in a '70 Chevelle, it was quite impressive. I'm doing a rolling restore, (more of an upgrade than actual restore), since I don't have the room to lay out all the parts of a frame off. If you can, take some pics as you progress and pass them along, I'd love to see them.

Another Hoser!! Welcome to the forums!! You see as many 'Vette's as snake's feet 'round these parts, so it's just totally awesome to have another Canadian on the forums here. [8D]

Are you talking about a resto on the Chevelle? My neighbour is doing one on a 70 396 numbers car. Right down to the crayon marks...nice cars.

[]Sorry to say, I lost it during a divorce. Judge said to pay her half. I sold it for what I owed.
SHE DIDN'T GET SQUAT!

Sure do miss my 1970 Chevelle, Heavy Chevy, SS454, 4sp. They're worth a lot of potatoes. Went like hell in a straight line, but didn't corner worth a S$%T.
I love my "Starship", and it's gettin' better all the time.

I had an 81 Vette that looked completely stock with a 406 sb. Ran 12.96 at 113mph...with a measely 2.1sec 60', no traction. I had all the good stuff, dart heads, Victor Jr, lunati cam...poly bushings everywhere.....etc....boy do I miss that.
