New Guy with a vette
Hello my name is Mike, I just got a 72' 350 Turbo 400vette from my aunt, to make a long story short, my uncle was a vette fanatic and he died two years ago of cancer. This car was the last car that he built. It has been sitting for over 20 years, the frame and the wiringare still in good shape. The drivetrain and inside trimare all original, the body has greenwood fender flares I think, it kind of looks like the car from corvette summer. So I need some info on how much time and money that I should put init. This is my first corvette, being a car guy, all of the labor will be donemyself so labor won't be an issue. In every car there is a breaking point on spending money that you will never get back. The sentimental value of the car makes it a little different of a project.
Thank you
Mike
Thank you
Mike

Welcome to CF, Mike!
If you're lookin' to make a profit, sell it now.[&o]
In my opinion, it's a labor of love. If I invest 20g's or 100g's, it's worth every penny to me!
I'm not in it for value, except to me!
Keep it, build it, and enjoy it! [sm=icon_rock.gif]
You only go around once, why not go around in a Vette?[sm=bounceybounce.gif]

Value is relative, what's valueable to you may not be valueabe to someone else.
I think you've got a gorgeous Vette there, Bro!!! [sm=icon_rock.gif]
I love the body kit!
The thing about a lot of Vette owners here, is that wetry to make our Vettes unique, and you can still tell they're Vettes.

Killer car! Life is short, you've got to grab opportunities for joy when they come. We will eventually spend 3-4 times the actual value of our car bringing her up to our version of "snuff", so to speak. I don't care how much it costs; like Dave says, it's a labor of love.... the value we get back in the form of joy from cruising in our Corvette couldn't be replaced by all the money in the world.
Keep us posted as you move along with your project!! Best of luck! [8D]

You can find a railroader just about any place!I work for CSX out of Danville IL. I've been running for about 12 years, and boy has it changed. C3, with what I told you about this car what would it be worth, my auntis wanting me to buy it from her, I want to be fair but there is a line that may be to much to spend on it.Please give me your honest opinion.
Rail Roaders for ever
Thanks
Mike
