New Member 1970 Corvette
My name is Steven Beasley I've lived in indiana all my life, and wanted a vette all my life. Now being 31 my dream has finally came true.
My lovely wife bought me a corvette for christmas
1970 corvette 350/300 10.25:1 coupe
Things that are right
Has a numbers matching block, and heads
New stuff
Has an eldebrock performer intake
750 CFM holley 4160 carb
Bad stuff
Has a 1978 front end on it.
Has the newer wheels instead of the rally whells
Recently found out that the #2 cylinder had a burnt exhaust valve with no compression in that cylinder, so I have a v7 currently

Sorry about attaching 3 pictures it didn't appear to be attaching correctly when I did it the first time, and then I get an error when I try to delete them.
Well I have a issue. I just got the quote back from a couple shops here in town to do a 3 angle valve job, magnaflux and put hardened valve seats in. It is going to run about $300 - valves, valve guids and springs that need to be replaced. And if I'm doing this I want to do it right, but that is going to increase it way more especially if i get the nicer sets, and not just stock replacements. I'm looking at near $500-$600 dollars to do that. I'm wondering if it would be better to get some nice 2.02 heads, as mine are 1.94 (I think), and keep the heads that I have and rebuild them at a later time.
