my name is Jeff and i just got my first vette, a 1978, only paid 100o for it becuase it has been sitting for 15 years and is in desperate need of attention. Brakes, every bushing in it, most of if not all the engine and trans seals are shot to hell, door, glass and t-top seals are all shot. Lucky for me i have been working on stuff for 30 years and i'm a factory certified BMW, Triumph, and Ducati cycle tech though i havent worked at it for a living in a few years, not since breaking my neck and back anyways, so now i work on my own stuff only. my other addiction (motorized stuff being #1) is guitars, i play and collect them, i play the bagpipes too

Never played through one.
I do like the tonal quality of a tube amp over solid state.
What guitar do you play most, your favorite?
I also have an "American Delux" Tele w/ sunburst, rosewood neck and Bigsby tail.
Very well set up and sounds great,.....
I prefer my 335 though.

my favorite, i no longer own, had to sell it before i got my disability approved........to make some bills. it was a Danelectro Hodad with the Bigsby tremolo. it was that sparkly bright blue and the feel and sound, especially with the coil tap and the other push-pull pot controlling coil phase with the lipstick tube pickups. i've been looking for one locally lately. it was cheap (around 250 dollars when i got it) but the sound and feel.............man! my favorite present one has got to be either my Epiphone WildKat or my 1985 Japanese Squier Strat. the strat came out when the USA fenders has a poor reputation, it came from the factory with the floyd rose tremolo and didnt have a locking nut, but a string lock set in between the nut and tuning machines. i got it for my 17th birthday in august of 1985. the only brand new guitar i ever got.

Dang, sorry ya lost our Danelectro.
I had a Danelectro amp once, it disapeared a long time ago,
I don't know where it ended up.
Nuthin wrong with a new guitar, they were all new once. LOL
Got my 335 in '77, brand new, off the shelf.
It's gained in "sweetness" over the years.
Didn't get my Tele 'til '06, so it's basicly new.
Again, welcome to CFs.

just got home with an early 90's special edition mexican tele in that really pretty metallic dark blue/purple with a pearloid pickguard. traded a rebuildable suzuki titan motor for it.

Awesome..got a couple of pickers here and you both have great taste in guitars. Its hard to find a good older 335 here. I worked with a boy in the mines who had a '72 335 that sounded amazing, but he wouldnt do any trading and absolutely would not part with it. I love Teles, Strats..love 'em all..I pick a little here and there too. Got three Les Pauls (2 Gibsons; a '78 Standard, a 1959 reissue, and an Epiphone Standard), and a 1990 Gibson Flying V..I have a couple of amps, a '73 Fender Twin Reverb and a Stage 100..
