Hi, I just bought my first Vette at almost 60 years old (I feel like I'm 25). I bought an 80 model that has L82 badges on the side but it had a new crate motor put in it 4 years ago (350/265). It has 78000 orig miles and 10,000 on the new motor. It rides better than any Vette that I've ridden in before. Someone put a fiberglass spring in the rear and maybe that's why it rides so good. I bought it off ebay and went to Sailsbury N. C. to pick it up, about 250 miles. I was very pleased. I've been a Ford man all my life, but always liked Corvettes. I also have a 1930 Ford Model A hotrod. I know that I will learn a lot from this site. I hope to hear from some of you soon. Harleyboy52

Welcome to the forum. Nice pictures..2 good looking rides!! Do you have the Harley to go with the name? I am finding the vette is pretty good at making me feel younger! I know that feeling of being "almost 60", but everytime I get in the vette (or on my Harley) the years melt away...I wish!
Enjoy....

Yes I have the Harley also. I'm a firefighter and I have a 2003 Firefighter Special Edition Road King. I had a Wide Glide before that and totaled it in Ark. coming back to N. C. from Sturgis in 2002. I was ejected at 65 MPH after hitting a BAD place in the road. That was a sweet bike. Rebel paint job and 22" apehangers. I rode it to Sturgis from southeastern N. C. three times. It had 72000 miles on it when it met it's demise. Here are some pics.
great looking car. welcome to the boards. jump in and have some fun.
Oh by the way my boy Coty has a '68 Harly. He loves it. Here he is gettin' ready for a run.

Well my Road King pics must be to large to load so here is a pic of my wife's 57 Tbird. We sold it about 4 months ago. It was perfect. I told you that I was a Ford man.
