Welcome. You will enjoy the car.

Remember to wave to other Corvette owners when you see them on the street.

Its a 50-year old tradition.

Re: the wave...thanks, I've noticed that. I'm new to this boards format too so not quite sure where to respond, etc. Love the vette & my kids love taking turns riding, hubby surprised me with it...but I'm not sure he'll be driving it too often, lead foot & taking corners at 40 mph are his favorite things. It's an automatic, but has these paddle things to manually shift, he likes that too...says "feel the power" hehehe! Anyway, were not old old, but are feeling like kids again!

The paddle shifter automatic is a good choice. I have a Tiptronic -- basically the same thing -- in my Prosche and it makes for more useable power around town. I have the six speed in my vette because I love to shift gears (and with a six speed, there are so many to shift - weeee!).

Yeah, I noticed that as soon as I got my Vette, its a pretty good feeling. Mustang owners have no comradery, we never waved at one another.
