Newbie in Conroe, TX, have owned 2 C4s..
Hey everyone. I've registered on the forum to get back into the Plastic Fantastic frame of mind. The new C6, particularly the Z06, has renewed my interest in Corvettes.
My first Corvette was a slightly used 1996 LT4 Coupe. A link is still online, to my suprise, that I posted back in 1998.

I really miss that one! I ended up trading it for a 12,000-original-mile, garage-kept 1990 ZR-1 in 1999. I paid about $29K for it. Had the original tires, owner's kit, two window stickers, etc. I sold it in 2002 with 19,800 miles on it (out of stupidity when I think about it!) to a fella in Spring, TX. About a month afterwards, he calls me to tell me sad news. He was broadsided by a lil' ol lady in a Lincoln Town Car! He was OK but the ZR-1 was tweaked so bad he had to climb out the passenger side. It ended up being totalled and sold for scrap. Interestingly enough, I did a CarFax check on the VIN a few months ago, and it seems to have been resurrected, albeit with a salvage title. I hope to find out more someday as to whether or not it's the same car that has undergone a thorough restoration.
For now, I am hoping to have another C4, preferrably an LT4 Grand Sport or LT4 coupe sometime in the next couple years. Better yet, a new Z06 would be really great but I have to divert my paycheck elsewhere right now (2.5 yr old daughter, etc).
I told my wife that my dream right now is to order a new Z06 for R8C Museum Delivery. Gotta plant that seed early. Maybe in a couple of years when a better, more powerful Z06 (2008, 2009?) is out and the 2006's prices have dropped I'll find a nice low-mile used one? [8D]
Here's a pic of my ZR-1 that I took back in '99.
See ya' all on the forums. Cheers!
