Default Newbie here

Hi, y'all. New 2013 Grand Sport Coupe sitting in the garage as of yesterday. Have always wanted a Vette (since I was a 6 year kid and saw my first one in 1956 -- a white 1954 model with a 150 HP Blue Flame 6 cylinder engine). My new one is a base stock Torch Red version; nothing special, other than it's a Vette!

Took me a while to get to this point. Previously owned several sporty cars (1996 Firebird WS6; 1996 Mazda MX-5; 2002 Firehawk; 2007 Mazda MX-5, 2009 Solstice GXP Turbo).

Outside of fiddling with the cold air intake some, and maybe changing out the catback (car is a little too quiet for its looks and power!), I plan to keep it pretty stock.

Paid $49,400, in the driveway.

Am living in Garner, NC, outside of Raleigh, and retired from NC State U. last January.

I hope this forum is filled with the sort of good-natured and informative car owners that have helped me (and that I have helped) on other car forums in the past!

Mike

Very nice. By chance have you read "All Corvettes Are Red"? I think that was the title.
