One More New Arrival Here
Hello Members,
I'm new to Corvette Forums ... but am an 'oldie' having purchased my very first vanilla-flavored 1960 'Vette back in 1960 after graduating from high-school then ... didn't particularly like the car ... sold it in 1962 ... ordered a 1963 SWC ... an early car (#3x) with fuel-injection.
Later on in 1965, purchased a new Fuelie ... that car ran like the '63 ... both unremarkable in performance ... both excellent as 'chickie-magnets.' Anyway, became 'tired' with them ... purchased several '67 bb's ... they too, were poor performer's.
Then, in 1990/1, my young son and I began planning so as to 'build' a Corvette to give him (and me) an appreciation for what it takes to put together a car. After a few years of buying many mid-year 'Vette parts and pieces, we ended up with a car that would 'go like a mashed cat!!'
Anyway, I digress here ... but 'remembering' bring's back some very fond memories of working with my son on that car.
These days, I'm refurbishing my '63 ... the one I purchased back in 1963.
I'm happy to be here on this forum to be able to ask questions and receive objective information regarding what-it-is I'm doing to my '63 to get it to where I'll be able to enjoy the car. I'm not an absolute purist at all ...
Oh ya, I still have the other three 'mid-years' that I bought 'brand-new' during those fun-filled and wonderful times.
Best Regards,
PeteZ
