Default saving an 02 coupe for my 6 year old

Saving her a vette from the year she was born. Why you wonder, because I wish my father has done so for me (imagine how nice it would be to own a 57 vette) and because I can afford to. It is paid for, I bought it new and have kept the miles down to 7,300 so far. My question is, should I be buying any specific parts now while they are easily available that I expect will require replacement in 15 or more years? Any seals, gaskets etc? Seeking advice on what to do now to best preserve the vehicle and plan ahead.

I'd say no. Assuming 'vettes are any kind of collectors item in 20 years or so, Ecklers will still be around. If you store that car, well, in a warm and dry place, the only real parts that will deteriorate over that period are rubber seals, belts and hoses, etc., and such parts: problem is if you buy spares they will harden over time, too, even if wrapped tightly on a shelf -- not quite at the same rate as the trim and seals on the car, but enough that by the time you daughter is old enough to both drive and appreciate the older 'vette, they will not be in their prine.

Best to trust that Ecklers or Year One or someone like that will be still around -- you can buy virtually every part you'd need to completely rebuild a '72 vette today, new and good -parts all, so I would assume in the future the same would be true.
