Default Thank you for having me...

Hi fellow Corvette and car enthusiats,

I am actually the current owner of a '05 Lotus Elise 111S that I love to death and I a friend recently offered to give me an older, maybe late 60's early 70's Vette that is not in good shape at all but I'mcrazy about restoring it. I have the VIN number and I am wondering what year it is and any other particulars a VIN number might provide. I tried CarFax but that didn't help neither did NYS DMV. Can someone give me some advice on where togo to get some more info before I proceede any further.

Thanx,
ZakSkiGuy

Welcome to CF!
Your friend offered to GIVE you a Vette??????
Does he need more friends, or adopt a son? Does he have any more Vettes he wants to give away???
Take it Dude, can't go wrong there![sm=icon_rock.gif]

I ran my VIN through my manual, gives year and such.

Nice gesture from your friend, but anyone who would willingly give up a Corvette makes me think he might have communist ties. Keep your eye on him.
