VATS nightmare

Hi,
I have an 88 C4 convertible. bought when it was 6 months old. The VATS is finally giving me problems I've heard about. Security flashing when I try starting. New keys didn't work. Inline resistor didn't work. It will try to fire if I spray gas into carb. for that initial couple seconds and quit. Car has not been started in a year. When i turn key on, security goes out but when I try start it might come on with anti-lock light. I cannot hear gas pump running. Without running I cannot get 4x# transmission out of reverse. Is there a product to do a complete VATS bypass?
I know enough about mechanics to make really stupid mistake

You can pull your ecm out and send it out to a programmer and they can delete that vats ecm function. I do it when i put LS computers with engines in an older vehicle. Good time to juice it up a bit too. there are many antitheft devices around that can work with less trouble.

Thank you! I'm not to worried about the anti-theft. How do you go about finding a ECM programmer..or is that something I can just google. I'm still trouble shooting to see if it is my VATS not letting my car start.

My son took care of that, it was his truck. 2000 2500 Silverado 6.0L salvage engine and trans into a 2500 1984 GMC in 2008, it's been a few years. I asked him where he found this guy and he said Google under LS Programming. sounds like there are many guys doing it now. Have not checked youtube lately its sometimes has good information on programming and maybe vats bypassing.

I found bypass modules on zip corvettes for $27 might work. Just need to read the ohms off the key chip to see which module you need.

Thanks..I ordered one. Even though putting resistors in line should work. Maybe i'm off the 5%. Let you know when I get what happens.

I received the new Vats bypass module ... installed and got what I figured from testing last night. A no go. Last night pulled wire plug from fuel relay. I'm getting 12v on 1 pin...7.5 on another pin, i was thinking I should have voltage on 3 pins but not sure. I swapped relays with AC, I atleast hear this one click when turned on. At my fuel pump i get 10.5 volts. the drawing i find has relay labels A-D, my actual relay is A -C-F with no B. Little confused if someone can help on this?
Thank you

So much for easy fix , the vats control the fuel that could be part of the issue still. Found some information on the vats system it might be helpful.

Thank you Thomas...looked through all 107 pages. Found the VATS section, but nothing that tells me how VATS works with fuel pump, or fuel pump voltage. Going do test shortly with a hot wire from battery to my fuel pump, use harness ground and test voltage. Vice versa...and then see if it will actually turn my pump on.
Thanks for your help
