i've been building streetrods for the last 20 years but we decided last year to get back into vettes. i've build a blasting room to remove paint. i have a killer paint booth and an insulated shop. i do not have to farm anything out anymore. i hope to do a couple a year for customers and one for auction. next after the 57 is painted i'll start the 54 restomod. if i can talk steve into it it will be black. next step is to get rid of this mess.

this one is going back original. after it's painted i'll start on the 54. it will be a restomod with c 4 suspinion and ls1. cutting corners is a nono here. all it does is make more work for me. it's easier to do it right the first time. visit my web site to see this car being built.

well heres an update on the 57. it's now going to be a restomod with c4/ls1. finnaly got all the paint off. this one was really rough but after repairs and a regelcoat it will be lazer straight and slick. the 62 is going back original. i'll peel it next week to see whats under it got behind during the holidays and then we had all the fires around here to deal with. my place is surronded by a post oak forrest so we spent some time cleaning up and trimming. one fire got within 20 miles of me. with 40 mph gust it travels that far in an hour. hope you enjoy these projects....................................... porchdog

Well from what I can see from the pictures it doesn't look there was much rust to deal with, which is always a good thing. That undercoating must have been a pain to get off of there. Anyhow she looks like she is coming along pretty well, can't wait to see the end result.

believe me. removing undercoat is not my favorite thing to do. took many hours to chip it away so i could blast it clean. it should get painted next week.

not much rust but they broke off 9 bolts trying to get it apart.
