Default Anyone here into boating?

Anybody here into offshore boating? I'm new here and heard of this site from a boating forum that I frequent called offshoreonly.com. My name over there is OldSchool (the name of my boat is OldSchool II).

I have some friends that are into drag boats. I'm basicly a land lubber, but I really get "jacked"when I go out with them.
Off shore racin' blows my mind!!![sm=yikesomg.gif]
Never been in one, but I'm really impressed by the TV clips I've seen. [sm=icon_rock.gif]
Horses is horses, land, sea or air, I LOVE horses!!!
We'd love to see pics of your boat!

That's funny...drag boats scare the bejesus out of me!!![sm=icon_cheers.gif]

I'm a little busy at work right now, I'll resize a few pics of my boat and post them later.

Here are a few videos of my sled to for your viewing pleasure until then.

This one is from two years ago when I had MONSTER power in it. Twin 588ci Sonny Leonard quad whipples..1240 HP each!! Buying 110 octane race fuel got very old...especially when it burned 2 gallons per mile at cruise.[:-]

This next one is from Nov. of '06 with it's current engines. 598 ci 770 HP each, running on pump gas (93 octane). Not quite as fast... but ALOT more enjoyable!!!!

yea man i used to be all about boatin one time we took a 13 foot jon boat in the ocean about sank the thing.lol my grandad has a 19 foot 1966 Glastron cabin cruiser that I was helpin him restore. last time i helped him we were takin the inboard/outboard out and puttin two Johnson150 outboards on it. i love going out there catchin cobia and drum and stuff like that. We named that boat Alabama cause thats the state it came from and it had gave us alot of trouble with the title and everything.

Darn nice boat there Bro!
I rode with one of my Buds. He had a 454 that came out of a '70 Chevelle I used to have. It would "prop walk" sideways about 20 ft., then really take off.
He later sank it in the Sacramento river. [&o]He hit the throttle, caught a wake from another boat, the bow went straight up in the air, and it sunk stern first. Luckily, he came out O. K.! He did recover it, but sold it after it dried out.

I LOVE me speed boats!!!! WOOOOOOOOT! To be honest, we've gotten right into the Miami Vice DVD box sets recently, mostly due to the cigarette boats they used to run in the show. Durned near pornography on water, if you ask me. Love 'em!

It's one of my biggest motivators to continue to buy lottery tickets. I need me a speed boat.

Preferably one with more than one fire-breathin' big block under the hood. Dangerous, schmangerous..... I eat danger for breakfast. *cough, cough* OK, well, I don't really, but I still want a speed boat!

This photo was taken directly from a dream I had the other night........

That boat is the same brand as mine ...but 4 feet longer. It's a 42' Cigarette Tiger. Mine is a 38' Top Gun. Funny that you should post that boat, a friend of mine just bought it about 3 months ago!! It was a brochure boat when it was new and is still very clean!! We all tease him and call his boat "The one that Walt Disney threw up on". Most people either love that paint job or hate it! That's one of my favorite pictures of all time. I love how you can see the shadow of the boat on the bottom. That's at least 20 feet of water that they are in!
