Fuel Economy After a 6.7 Powerstroke Delete
Hi all,
I’ve been debating a delete kit for my Ford 6.7 Powerstroke but want to understand real-world fuel economy effects. Some sources claim better mileage, others say it drops. I mostly drive highway miles towing my boat, so efficiency matters.
Has anyone documented the before and after MPG after doing an EGR or DPF delete? Also curious about maintenance, does a delete really reduce headaches or just shift them elsewhere?
I’m hoping to get honest feedback from people who live with the results daily, not just marketing hype.

Those might be good questions for your Ford Senior Master Diesel Technician. I did run an company Ford pickup a few years back, It wasen't the 6.7 it was smaller, I drove it for two years in North Dakota that didn't have the EGR delete. I had to take it in to the dealer once for a intake cleaning, I think using a EGR system on a Diesel was the worst idea ever in that it plugs up the diesel intake and manifold system. There are many powerstroke forums to read out there that ask that same question and the delete issues along with performance issues and check engine lights.
