Just checking to see if any of you will be at the auto fair , Lowes Motor Speedway, Charlotte this weekend. Event started on Thursday, Sept. 14 and goes through Sunday the 17th. Several corvette clubs always drive in for the show. We will be there, not in the corvette, taking the 57 Chevy this time.

Yes you can. Driving a corvette, you surely can make it here in 8 hours. They would just think it was a streak of light going across the country.

Charlotte NC???? Im in Va Beach Corvette Lady.. How long do you think it would take me to get there? I would LOVE to go to a big car show like that!!

 

I wish I could be there, but its a little to far from me for a last minute trip.

Just got to this post today. I was there Sunday, had a blast! I think I saw your car, it was the best '57 at the whole show! ( By the way that is some list of fine cars that you own.) In a past life I owned a 55 post, a small block 66 conv Vette and I'm now driving a 74 T-Top. Sorry I missed you, I'm sure we could have talked for hours about our cars, hope to see you next year. Hi Folks: WOW WOW WOW, yes this weekend at Lowes was so fun. All the cars were just out of this world. Hubby and I had so much fun, you know, just hanging out with car folk is so fun. In all the years, can't say that I ever met one that I didn't like. Yes, pg, we would have talked for hours about cars. You can see from our list of cars that I just as interested in cars as my husband. This can also get you in trouble when both of you love cars. Of course, I was over checking out all the corvettes. I was having corvette envy when I got home, so we got out the 62 and drove it all weekend. The 57 is loads of fun, but I also love the vettes. I will have to tell you all about our 15 minutes of fame. Frankie Avalon was making commercial for Sonic, can't remember the year. They used my 61 vette and filmed all week. They were making it look like he was driving across the country in his vette. The crew came to our house to see the 61 and could not believe all the toys. Ended up they used about 5 of our cars that week. We had a 69 camaro z28 at the time, and they loved the roar of the engine. We aren't dealers, just folks that were teenagers in the 50's and love cars. The show at Lowes is held each April and September, I'll try to give you all a heads up in advance for the April show. Its is so fun being here and seeing each of your love for the vettes.

Corvette Lady, that's the coolest story ever!!! I have no doubt that they loved your cars, they appear to be in better than new condition! You really do have some of the greatest Chev cars ever made there.... I am very impressed!
