Mine was a 1955 Caddy, 4dr. sedan, bought it for $50.00. Everything worked, power windows, 97 way seat, lol (would adjust to any position except upside down) a good AM radio, A/C and a automatic headlight dimmer. It had been hit in the driver side rear door by a snow plow, a big gash and the door wouldn't open, other than that, she was cherry. It was black when I got it. My Dad worked for a loggin' company and he gave us some paint, Caterpillar Yellow. My best bud and I painted it on with brushes and left a black racin' stripe about a foot wide, right down the middle. I was just 14 and used it for a fishing car. Called it "The Boat". Where I lived, I had access to 3 lakes, several streems, and about 200 miles of dirt back roads. My bud and I would load up "The Boat" and head for our favorite fishing holes. Got a lot of strange looks from the tourists!!! LOL Now those were the days. (sigh....)

 

Mine was a 1961 Plymouth Valiant, bought in 1966 for $385 dollars, red, with a 170 cubic inch slant six (great motor) and a three speed on the floor, and that really tasteless "European" styling. But it had air, and an AM/FM radio. It would do 0-60 in about 17 seconds, and go an indicated 91 miles per hour if the wind was right. I didn't really like it (wanted a Corvair Turbo) but looking back it was a good car for a 17-year old kid. The Plymouth lasted three years and was replaced by my first new car, a 1968 327 V8 Camaro. That was a great car - one of the best I ever owned. I really wish I still had it.

 

My first was a 1993 Oldsmobile Achieva S. Aparently... The "S" Stood for "Sport" is what i was told. Even though it was a 4 door with a 2.3L DOHC and i would assume one of the farthest things from "Sport". I bought the car because it was only $1500 and i was going to be getting my license pretty soon. I had the money, and then i had the car and now i have come a long way from driving stoooopid 4 Cylinders lol.

 

Got a '74 Gran Torino from my mom when she passed away. God, that was like 134 cars ago, now... I've had a few real cherries, but mostly.. junk boxes.

Even had one car that I paid $75 for, and one of the connecting rods let go about 20 feet out the driveway.. I took my plates off and started walkin'....

 

My first was the family '72 4 door nova with a 250-6cyl. I got it when I was 11 after my parent's passed. The first car I bought was a 1970 scj torino with a special ordered NASCAR BOSS 429, Drag pac car with a toploader 4 speed and 430 detroit locker rear end. That car would flat run. beat everyone in my school. I was 17. It was stolen when I was 19. I miss that car. But now I have a 'VETTE. life is good again.

In my 12th grade year (1999) my mom got me a '81 Chevette for $500 (guess you could say that was my first "Vette," LOL)...it was a piece of junk but it got me to school and work so I was happy. That car lasted about 3 months before dying on the way to school one morning.

 

chevette hehe that reminds me, my hubby wanted to hide the new corvette...he's strange in that way & didn't want anybody to kno, well word got out we got a corvette, he told people "huh she didn't get a corvette...she got a chevette, she's confused" I can't help but laugh cuz he's sooooo stupid, like he thought he could hide it!!

 

my 1st to drive was the family dodge charger that had the side all crushed in cuz mom had hit a pole in a parking lot. Then my 1st very own was a 70's ford granada which come to find out later had a "Florida rebuilt title" I only had it 9 mos.
