Is your Vette a daily driver?
Mine is a 74. I've had it close to a year and have put less then 100 miles on it. I got it in Oct and the weather wasn't conducive to taking it out. Then when the weather got nice, I was out of the country for 2 months. Just got back and we're having horrible rain here in Oklahoma. I'm hoping to take her out in the next few weeks, but "daily driver" ? no.
No. But I wish it was my d/d. Two reasons that it isn't: 1) I drive about 80 miles a day, to and from work. That's a lot of miles to rack up on a vette. B) I live in the Midwest. Those 80 miles would be a living hell in the winter time. Not to mention the damage that the road salt would do.
If I lived in the south or west and I only had a short trip to work, then I'd definitely drive it daily. I'd still keep my truck for truck kinds of things though.

I love to drive the car, but although it as easy to drive and is as comfortable as stock, there are three reasons why it stays at home most days. First, Irun 345 section drag radials all the time. They literally hydroplane on a film of water so I can't take it to work on days when there is even the least chance of rain. Second, the tires and the 13 inch wheels for them fit nicely under the tubbed rear wheel wells but it takes two jacks and over50 minutes to change a rear tire (it's a long story, but trust me, nothing you can do) , not something I want to take a chance with in traffic on the side of the road.
I've budgeted for a new set of 11" width matching Fikses that can be changed like stock, and some 315 Pilot Sports for the street and then I can drive it daily, but the third reason: the Porsche, with its super-intelligent Tiptronic transmission and flawless interior,is sort of perfect for go to work and grocery getting.

Yep, I had a 1993 nissan 240sx to drive in bad weather but I never did, im addicted to the vette. By the way that Nissan is the BEST car I have ever owned. My dad owned the car new, put 113k miles on it. I then put about 23k more miles on it and the biggest problem we ever had was we had to change out the fuel injectors.
Sorry I had to put that in there.

As soon as the "Starship" is back up and runnin', you bet cha.
I'm goin' to drive 'er every chance I get. To work, on trips, or just out to blow the dust outa my ears.
I love to drive, always have, and when she's road worthy again, I'll drive 'er.
Not worried about rain, but no winter salt roads. [:'(]

Yes I drive it daily! If it's not going to rain I take the Vette, I put on about 4 or 5 thousand miles a year on it. And at night it's parked in my garage which has wall to wall mirrors on both sides so it looks like there are hundreds of Vettes in there. Am I car crazy or what? PG.
Mine is not a daily ride only because I drive a company truck to and from the job, I take it out as often as possible, even fit my son's hockey gear in to take him to the rink. The A/C isn't working yet and makes it a little uncomfortable in the Michigan humidity but other than that it is very road-worthy. 1978 L48 auto, 76000 miles, I've put about 3500 on it in three years.
Although I drive my Vette a lot during the spring, summer, and fall it is far from my daily driver. I picked up a '02 Lexus GS300 Sport Design in Sept. that somebody traded in for a Prius. It's a nice alternative to the Vette. After driving in the Vette a few days and then switching back to the GS it feels like I'm driving on a cloud.
