I purchased a used 08 Z06 back in June and almost immediately had a clear bra installed on the entire front hood, front fenders, mirrors, and side rockers behind the doors. I waited this long to post because I wanted to make sure that it wouldn't start bubbling, peeling, or become cloudy and it hasn't at all. It is black and was concerned that I would notice it but as advertised it is clear. If you didn't know that it was installed it would be hard for someone to see it. The company that installed this for me was Ultimate Car Care in Orange, CA and the owner is Sean. I called a number of places and he knew the most about the clear bra and had done hundreds and hundreds of installations. He does top of the line cars and his work is top of the line. I had to have it removed and replaced because he was not happy with the outcome and he did so at no charge and it came out fabulous the second time around. I would recommend to anyone who wants to have the protection from chips, scratches, etc to have this product installed. You will be happy with the looks as it does not detract at all in my opinion and you will be completely satisified if you use Ultimate Auto Care. Any new car I get again will get the same treatment I have given my Z06.

 

I'm thinking about putting one on my 2002 Z06 that is also black. The local guy doesn't have a template for this car though (he's looking for one). I was afraid that I wouldn't like it on a black car, but he showed me two black cars he had there, and unless you get up on it, you can't see it.

You should have him call Sean at Ultimate Car Care in Orange as he probably has a template or can tell him where to get it. He will come up if you google Ultimate Car Care Orange. It comes up under ultimate shield. Sean does a lot of cars at his shop and I am sure he probably has done an 02 Z06. If you get the complete hood you won't see it at all. If you go half you will. I went full hood and fenders and am completely happy. If the guy you are talking to has done a lot of installs you should be good. I would make sure that if it doesn't look right that you will reinstall if necessary. Take care.
