Has anyone used Superior Chrome in Houston TX? I sent them some parts to be rechromed. Anyone used them before.

Wow, I looked it up (google) and it's the same shop. I used them in 1976 when I lived just outside of Houston and I was restoring a 20-year old Austin Healey that was pretty well shot. Superior re-did both bumpers and the grill surround, and some emblems that were a bit pitted, etc., and if I remember right, also chromed a custom exhaust tailpipe set I had made. I remember being very impressed with the work at the time and I know the car lasted another 12 years in good shape. I doubt anyone working there now was working there then, but for what it is worth, they did good work for me, and if they are still in business after 30 years, they must be doing something right.

 

Thanks Lee, it's good to hear something positive. I sent them my 73 vette back bumpers and 69 side pipes and the quote was in line with other quotes I got. You're right if they've been in business that long they must be doing something right. I'll let everyone know how they did in about four weeks or so.
