i was thinking that if you were a marine corp pilot, which i had assume you were...playing a driving video game must pale in comparison. [8D]

It's funny you say that. I have found that my students that played a lot of video games, and that are good at them, are often the better pilots. Makes sense if you think about it, it's a matter of hand/eye coordination. When we fly at night on NVG's, I always think of it as a video game, an I tell my students to think of it that way. It helps them relax, and they often fly a little better.

Same skills, totally different skill set, if you know what I mean. It's a cool job though...for now.

If you want to read a little more about it, it's a CH-53E. I did a search and that was the page I found. There are many more like it.

I don't know why we use the term "plane" all the time. Technically it is a plane, but I know that we don't like the army term, "chopper".

Let me know what you think. Like I said its a cool job for now.

The page is an easy way to answer lots of questions, yes, I think it is more of a recruiting tool than anything.

my neighbots son, who i watch from time to time when they have to run out, has a play station 2 and he has the new Gran Turismo game, and it is great fun getting to beat up my car, without actually beating up my car...
