On my way home toinght im just driving and come up on a stop light next to a very nice Late C3, I look over and tell him nice car give him the thumbs up and smile. Well he smiles and says "better than you'll ever have kid" Which really pissed me off, i said "well if i was gonna buy a vette a later C3 would be the last thing id buy!" His smile went away and said "Big Block Kid you cant **** with me". So i say ya wanna bet? And he said something about "The only thing a Small Block can outrun is another small block" and i laughed, i told him on green ill eat his lunch . He said ok, so i lit my tires up for about 5 seconds *got the slicks nice and warm*, and opened my cut out, well about at that time his gay smile went away and light turned green i dump it around 3K and i put a good 3 cars on him by the time i hit 2nd and kept pulling. Id say i got a good 7 cars on him and came to another stop light, he rolled up his window and wouldnt look forward. []

Now isnt that great? I told him he had a nice can then he tries being a dick, and then at the end of the day my tiny Stock Small Block beat his camed (from what i heard) BB. and nothing agisnt C3's guys

 

Nice job dude! I love a good BB Chevy and I drive a 81 Corvette but I also have a 93 Z28 and love hearing about F-Bodies running Vette's. What's a little inter-company rivalry..huh??? Still waiting for some warm weather up here in Northern Ohio to get the cars out[:@]

Thing to remember: modern port fuel injection is worth about 33% versus carburators. A fuelie LT1 350 is the equivalent of about 465 cubic inches of carburated big block. Plus you have a more modern transmission.

I love C3s, particularly the hydraulic-lifter big blocks with their lazy, easy power, but fast by today's highest standards they can never be.
