Unlike most window net systems, this one can be removed in several ways. I did this to allow quick exit from a damaged or burning car. Though it is very strong and much cleaner than other systems. This entire window net system can be removed from the car in less than 5 seconds, cables and all.

Side hoop bars tuck as close as possible to the roof for maximum head clearance. Drivers taller than 6ft can enjoy this cage with zero helmet knock against the bars. This also makes for a stiffer chassis. The body can't flex and move if it's rite up against the cage.

Roof cap is bolted down in rear rather than using factory mounting system. While it can still be removed, it is much safer, and the factory system must be removed anyway to notch the top frame for side hoop clearance.

This photo displays the 100% TIG welded construction and aircraft quality bar clustering. You can also see how the factory hoop has been capped and bolted to the new cage structure for additional strengthening of the chassis.

Because of the composite floor, the down bars are recessed through the plate and floor to a 4" X 3/16" strap that connects the frame to the trans tunnel under the car. Would have been strong enough without it, but it does add ridgidity.

These X bars bend outward to help triangulate any impact load into the structure of the cage rather than buckleing straight into the driver. They also alow more room for larger seats and drivers. I also do these cars with Nascar style bars, wich recess into the doors fully, and are virtually non existent to the driver during operation.

More bolt on bracing for more strength. This is a must in my opinion for lack of a steel floorboard in the C5. It is absolutely mandatory in C6's. We take it one step further and use bonding agents and weld in HD aluminum bulkheads for the C6

Notice how the factory Targa Hoop has been removed and the body work re-bonded to the new cage. This allows much more head room for taller drivers, and some weight reduction. And NO..... this doesn't make the chassis weak. The factory hoop adds little protection or stiffness to the car. The hatch mount points are also relocated from the factory hoop to the cage hoop
