Is there an easy way to remove the headlight switch knob?

Fog light bulbs are missing, does anyone know the bulb number? Parts stores don't list this item.

How do you remove the fog light lens and housing? Mine is loose and I need to tighten it up.

How do you remove the front license plate panel that has "Corvette" on it?

Some of the paint and clear coat is coming off one of my wheels. Can the paint be removed and these wheels polished using steel wool or something else?

Thanks. Any comments are appreciated.

The F license panel has 2 tabs on the bottom, that drop into 2 slots, as the top screws into place. Push downward carefully to access the 2 screws.

I got the clear coat off of my aluminum wheels with chemical stripper. Tough job!!! I never re-coated them with anything - I bought new wheels. I imagine they will polish up, but with what I don't know about using steel wool or nylon Scotch-Brite...

The only way to tighten lenses is to remove front cover. Chances are they are broke @ the mounts, that is why they are loose.

Actually the stock bulbs in 84 were #880 ...a lame 34 watts. Part #885 is a 50 watt bulb that technically you can replace. I did this many years ago. You can safely replace the 10 amp fuse with the 15 ....and before I get flamed....check out the math first at my site....http://corvette1984.freewebtools.com/DIRECTORIES/UPGRADES/DrivingFogLights/FL.html Some people on other forums are retrofitting HID to the fog lights....more light and draws less current.

And unfortunately the only way to tighten the lens housings are to remove the entire bumper cover. [sm=boohoo.gif]
Is it really the ENTIRE housing that is loose or just the fog light bulb area? Does your car have just a hole where the bulb goes or is there a grey "bulb holder" rod already installed? From what I remember its on a gimble for adjustment of the beamand tightens when the bulb and a the rod are installed. If your car is missing the rod it would appear loose.

The headlight knob is kinda annoying. Its hard to explain the clip that holds it on. Its a metal trianglular clip that engages the plastic knob. I suppose you are suppossed to put a tiny screw driver in on one edge to relieve pressure so it lifts off. My experience has been just to pull it really hard and it pops off.
