Since I bought my 98' Vette the display on the A/C has never worked but the air condtioner has always worked fine.

Now it wont blow cold air though. Everytime I put hit the A/C button it blinks a couple of times then it puts the vent on. With the display not working I really dont know what the A/C is doing. Any idea why its suddenly not working? Could it be something simple?

I rather just keep it then poay $500+ for a whole new unit.

i would take it to an AC shop and have it checked for a leak...

I might but to me that wouldnt explain the light on the AC console blinking when I hit it??? Instead of turning on?

It could be a lot of things, including something as simple as its too cold and the temp sensor is shutting down the compressor, or the temp sensor is failed. But you can't really diagnose it without some data, and without the display you are sort of . . . well, screwed, to be blunt.

Take it to a shoip and ask them what they think it would cost. It might not be that much and you have to get it fixed sometime.
