well We installed the new cat converter this morning, and this thing flat out flies now! The orignal problem was loss of power and kept dying. After we removed the converter we found it was completely blocked.

Did you check your diverter valve? Is the car running rich? Like I said before, something usually causes a converter meltdown. Better get it checked out before something happens to your new converter. ;)
