hmmm...the temperature gauge may not be working due to a bad sensor or sending unit..or it could be the gauge. the sensor shouldnt be very hard to change, it is usually somewhere around the front of the engine block, but im not 100% sure on your car. how does it run? when was the last time it was tuned up? any ideas? auto or manual transmission?

Thanks Patrick, it is auto transmission and it was tuned up a month ago! it runs good! I just changed the air filter for a K&N one. I do not know what other tweeks I can do to get more out of it? A friend told me about a chip? it is good? how expensive is? Thanks for the help!

a 1992 should have a chip available...if i am not mistaken, mexico doesnt have any emissions laws, right? how about safety inspections, or limits on modifying your car?

You are rigth! no laws or limitations, so I can modify the vette! the vette is already with ROMULUS exhaust mufllers, blistein shoks and a throttle body flow master. I just want to know what other minor twicks I can do to improve performance such as spark plugs, wires, oil type, etc. This is the first time that I owne a muscle car! So I need guidance on this.
Thanks again for all the help Patrick

ok...to go along with the exhaust, i woudl go with exhaust headers...and remove the catalytic converter if there is one....the more free flowing the exhaust is, the better. i will ask a friend who has a vette where the ebst place to buy a chip is, and ill get back to you!

i would go with the headers back first too! then bigger intake system...perhaps a supercharger?

The best first mod is a new exhast...Corsa makes a good one, but there are many others. Then work the intake, Blackwing is what I have on mine. This is the fastest way to add some ponies without cracking into anything. After that, headers is a good mod before you start messing with intakes, cams, or the like.
