Default First Car First Corvette First Questions

Last week i bought my first car. A 1986 Corvette. Its in great condition and runs very smoothly. I've been replacing various exterior light bulbs and was wondering how to get at the rear side lights. Do i have to lower the spare? There is also a small oil leak coming from my Valve covers which is leaking onto the exhaust and causing smoke to rise. How difficult isit to replace the gaskets? As for the interior, the graphics next to the window controls have worn off. Is there a place i could purchase new decals from? Please if you have any words of wisdom or advice i would appertiate a response.

You can get to the side marker bulbs without removing anything. The go in from the top and depress a lock on the side of the connector and twist. Valve covers are not that difficult, the only hard spot is on the passenger side front where you have compressor mounting bolts in the way. [8D]

Are you supposed to put any kind of gasket sealer on the valve cover gaskets?

I never do, good thick cork gaskets work fine as long as you don't overtighten them. There are different grades of cork, get the best quality ones.
