I am new to the corvette world and i am looking to purchase a 1985-1989 vette. What would be the best year and how much should i expect to pay?

it really is a matter of opinion as of what year to get. with a collectors vehicle like this, you get what you pay for..the higher the price tag, the nicer the car, unless you find a sucker..:D

I have a 1987 Automatic that I am selling ( the wife just bought me a C5 ) it is silver bronze metalic (only 447 made that year in this color) has new A/C, Vortex Ram Air with Air Foil, New Top, New Triple Chrome Factory Wheels from Corvette Mike, New Tires, Stinger Exhaust, bunch of dress up goodies inside and out. Car appraised at 13k 2 years ago prior to anything I did to it. Asking $12k.
It was a Great 1st corvette for me. Have not put it in the paper yet. Showed it at a yard sale. Someone is coming to look at it today.
